Mr. drs. M.E.J. Van de Mortel
Ms. mr. drs. M.E.J. (Hanneke) van de Mortel works as a lawyer at Noordanus Advocatuur. Hanneke is committed, has good communication skills and likes to think about legal issues. Education
Hanneke completed her bachelor’s degree in Law at Utrecht University. During this period, she also participated in an exchange with University College Dublin to broaden her knowledge of international law and criminology, among other things. She then completed both the master’s degree in Forensic Criminology and the master’s degree in Criminal and Procedural Law at Leiden University. During her second master’s degree, she followed the Leiden Leadership Programme at the Honours Academy.
Experience
During her studies, Hanneke did an internship at a law firm and at a juvenile detention centre. She was also a volunteer at the IJsselstein law shop. In that capacity, she provided residents with free legal advice. After her studies, she worked for more than two years as a (senior) judicial lawyer at the Midden-Nederland court. Her experience at the court has given her insight into the way in which decisions are made and sentences are reached. She therefore knows the judiciary inside out.
